Since the opening of Wreck-It Ralph in 2012, Disney’s been open about a sequel being in the works. A year ago, John C. Reilly confirmed was returning. Now, moviegoers in Canada and the U.S. can mark their calendars.

Wreck-It Ralph 2, directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, will upload to theatres March 9, 2018.

The date was revealed on a Facebook Live announcement with Moore, Johnston, and Reilly, where it was also revealed the action would head online in the sequel.

“This time,” Moore said, “Ralph’s wrecking wreaks havoc on the Web — as only he can do.”

Originally, Disney had their animated fairy tale Gigantic slotted for March 9, 2018. With Wreck-It Ralph 2 now taking that date, Gigantic has been shifted to November 21, 2018.
