Some sequels remain dormant and teased so endlessly, it becomes a boy-who-cried-wolf situation when they actually become realities. So it is with Danny Boyle’s sequel to 1996’s Trainspotting, which has been rumoured ever since the indie film took the world by storm twenty years ago.
